Degree requirements

Our Bachelor of Science in Business Management degree requires a student to take 77 credits of core business classes, 55 credits of general education, 19 credits of business electives and 77 finance emphasis credits. Classes in this emphasis cover topics such as:

Payroll accounting Finance Business analysis techniques Managerial economics Strategic investment and portfolio management Corporate finance

Investments Derivatives Statistics College algebra Introduction to macroeconomics Micro economics Comparative economic systems

You can complete this finance degree in three years if you attend classes full time and throughout the year. You can reduce the time required to earn a bachelor’s degree even more by obtaining college credit for prior learning and work experience. Because we do not charge tuition for credits awarded in this way, your college degree will also be less expensive than it might be elsewhere. Study in class or online—it’s your choice

Like all our campuses, our downtown Minneapolis college location was chosen with the convenience of our students in mind. Nevertheless, we know that attending classes, wherever they are located, is not always possible. Our students work, care for small children and have unpredictable schedules. That’s why we also offer our business management: finance BS degree online. Students can complete their degree programs entirely online or combine online classes with in-person courses that work with their schedules. They can also take classes at any of our upper Midwest locations.
