Requirements for our information technology degrees
Bachelor of Science in InformationTechnology (BS). Students take basic business courses and 55 credits of general education topics. Specialized IT courses include networking, security, database design, programming and web design. They have the option to focus on either networking and security or business application programming and take classes in either of these topics. They are eligible for a variety of industry certifications. Students who take classes full-time can expect to complete their degrees in as little as 36 months.
Associate in Applied Science in Information Technology (AAS). Graduates of this program have an excellent placement rate, usually 100% in most quarters. This is testimony to the relevance of our courses. Students can complete this degree in as little as 18 months of full time study. They are prepared for careers in network support or software development. They are well-positioned to return to school to earn a bachelors degree, with their AAS credits transferring smoothly to the new program.
