An Associate Degree in Downtown Minneapolis

An associate degree will show employers that you are serious about a career, not just a job. Training at our school will set you apart from applicants who have only high school diplomas. At the downtown Minneapolis location of Globe University/Minnesota School of Business (GU/MSB), we offer an array of Associate in Applied Science (AAS) degrees that prepare students for successful careers in a variety of fields.

Earn a 2-year college degree in 18 months

Depending on the course of study, it is possible to complete an associate degree in 18 months of full-time study. Many of our students go to school part-time, remaining in their jobs throughout their time at college. Others take some or all of their classes online. This allows them to attend lectures and participate in class discussions even though they may be far away from our downtown Minneapolis school in the IDS Tower.

Credit for work and prior learning

A student can take classes at one of our other locations in the upper Midwest. Another way our students complete their degrees efficiently is by obtaining credit for prior learning and experience. Military service, on-the-job training and previous college credits are among the ways that students jump-start their college careers and reduce the amount of time they need to spend in school. Your campus dean can tell you more about the process of applying for credit.

Our associate degree programs

We offer the following AAS degrees at our downtown Minneapolis location:

Degrees designed with the help of experienced professionals

Like our bachelor’s degree programs, our associate degrees were developed in consultation with program advisory committees. Board members who are experienced professionals in their fields ensure that we provide students with the knowledge and skills that employers seek. Our committees also review the content of our courses to ensure that our students receive the most up-to-date training.
