Resources for online students
Online orientation. We know that some students avoid online classes because they are not confident of their computer skills. We make sure that students are comfortable with the online learning format by requiring them to complete an online orientation session before they take their first online classes. Whether you take a single class or an entire program, the online orientation will get you started.
Blackboard™. Blackboard™ is an online course delivery and management system in use around the world. It incorporates almost everything you will need to complete a class—the syllabus, grades, unit content, class discussions and tests. You can check out Blackboard™ by logging on to our demonstration site. To log in, use the following name and password:

Online library. Our online library is available 24/7. You don’t have to wait for it to open or leave when it closes —i t never closes! We offer online databases, e-books, online reference, technical reports and professional journals — all online. We also offer tutorials in using our online library. And our online librarian is available 8-4, Monday through Friday via phone, e-mail, text or live chat.
Online help desk. We have many online tutorials as well as a well-staffed help desk with friendly and knowledgeable IT experts. We offer tutorials in Blackboard™, e-mail, Office 2007™, the student portal, and instant messaging, to name just a few. Between the tutorials and the help desk staff, you will find the help you need to succeed as a online student.
