Downtown College for All Ages

At our Minneapolis site, we know that learning doesn’t stop when you graduate from high school or college. At Globe University/Minnesota School of Business (GU/MSB), many of our students are well past the age of typical college students. They come to us because they want to change careers, advance in their current organizations or prepare for a better job in another company. When they come to us, they’ve come to the right place.

A college where you fit in

Some people are hesitant to return to school because they don’t want to be surrounded by folks barely old enough to vote! That isn’t an issue at GU/MSB. The average age of our students is around 28 years old. Most of them have been working for some time and have varied and interesting life experiences. Many of them have families and are juggling work, kids and school. A number of students have taken college classes elsewhere before enrolling at GU/MSB-Minneapolis. Although diverse, our students share a common goal — to earn a college degree that prepares them for a rewarding career.

We schedule our classes with you in mind

We know that most of our students have very busy lives. That’s why we provide many scheduling options. We offer day, evening, part-time and full-time classes and programs. We have online programs that you can complete entirely from your own PC or take some classes online and some residentially. We also have hybrid classes that combine the personal attention of the classroom with the convenience of online. You can even take classes at one of our other locations — we have 12 in the upper Midwest. It’s up to you to select the schedule that works best.

Get credit for your life and learning

Many of our adult students have taken classes at other schools, which makes them eligible to seek college credit for those courses. They can also receive credit for work experience, on-the-job training and military service. Unlike some other schools, we do not charge tuition for credits awarded through our prior learning and transfer programs. This is often makes the cost of a college education at GU/MSB affordable. Our education department helps students evaluate prior work and learning for credit.
